Adjusting the spring preload collar is extremely stiff and scratches the shock body. How can I fix this?

• The aluminum collars lack lubrication grooves. Apply a thin layer of silicone grease to the threads and use a strap wrench for adjustments. 
• Ensure the shock body’s upper threads are free of burrs—lightly sand with paper if needed.
